Position: Custodian

As a Custodian at Tel Hai Retirement Community, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. You will work as part of a dedicated team and be responsible for a variety of custodial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of resident rooms, common areas, and public spaces.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
• Empty and sanitize trash receptacles and recycling bins.
• Clean and sanitize bathroom fixtures, replenish supplies, and maintain a hygienic environment.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
• Follow established protocols and guidelines for infection prevention and control.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Prior experience in custodial work preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks as necessary.
