Job Description

Regency Harmony House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Brewster County, TX is currently seeking compassionate and caring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team. As a CNA, you will provide quality nursing care while promoting resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. Your role will involve attending to the residents' needs, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and transferring, as well as documenting care and following safety and infection control procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences
• Attend to the resident's needs, including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, and communication
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors

Requirements:

• CNA certification in the state of employment
• Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card
