Job Overview
Kirkwood By The River, a continuing care retirement community located in the Birmingham/Irondale area, is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Personal Care Companions (PCC) Caregivers. As a PCC, you will provide comfort, companionship, daily activity support, and assistance with daily living needs to our residents. We have flexible shifts available for days, evenings, and overnights, and offer enhanced shift differential pay for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
As a Personal Care Companion (Caregiver) at Kirkwood By The River, your responsibilities will include:
- Interacting directly with residents and providing comfort and companionship
- Assisting residents with daily living needs
- Supporting residents in daily activities
- Maintaining a positive attitude towards residents and fellow employees
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Speak, read, and understand English
- Be able to perform the essential functions outlined in the job description
- Have a positive attitude towards residents and fellow employees
