Florist - Part Time
Masonic Village at Elizabethtown is hiring a Florist. This is a Part Time Day opportunity working 6:30am - 2:30pm Tuesday - Friday.

As a Florist, you will carry out our Mission of Love by coordinating with the Landscape Supervisors to plan, design and implement work schedules and projects to manage and maintain various areas of the campus. Our Florist are responsible for the following:


  • Interior plant and Seasonal plant knowledge of proper cultural practices for optimum growth, maintenance and best corrective procedures for visual impact.
  • Maintain records to include personnel use, chemicals, amendments, plant acquisitions, plant nomenclature and plant placement in sections.
  • Help plan, organize and execute maintenance of scheduled areas.
  • Maintain correct safe use and proper maintenance of all equipment.
  • Apply chemicals, herbicides, fungicides, growth regulators, and pesticides in a timely and safe manner.
  • Ability to lead seasonal workers in activities as needed.
  • Ability to plan, prepare and design materials in various ways within budget constraints to achieve a specific unified theme.

What You Definitely Have:


  • A high school graduate or equivalent.
  • A valid Pa. Driver's License.
  • Ability to acquire a PA state pesticide applicator's certification.
  • Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
  • Postgraduate degree or certification in a Floriculture related field (preferred).
  • Two years or more of training in Floriculture (technical or on the job).
