As the RN MDS Coordinator, you will play a vital role in our healthcare facility, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for our patients. Your meticulous attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of regulations and documentation requirements will enable you to gather comprehensive and accurate patient information. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive and precise MDS assessments, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines
- Utilize your clinical expertise to identify and accurately document patient care needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including Physicians, Nurses, and Therapists, to develop individualized care plans
- Ensure timely submission of MDS assessments to regulatory bodies
- Monitor and review patient records and documentation to maintain compliance with regulations
- Train and educate staff on MDS processes and documentation requirements
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to enhance the quality of patient care
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Florida
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of MDS assessments and regulations
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous learner with a commitment to stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices
