Position: Benefits and Leaves Administrator
Reports to: Director, Human Resources
Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS u2013 include and are not limited to:
Benefits and Leaves Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day compliant administration and coordination of the benefits and leaves programs. The primary responsibilities will include being the primary source of contact for the communication and administration of employee benefits, leaves of absence, 401k, etc.
Other HR Generalist responsibilities as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES u2013 include and are not limited to:
Responsible for the compliant administration of benefit programs ensuring flawless delivery and timely reporting.
Presents Benefits overview at new hire orientation, which includes fielding questions and monitoring return of required employee sign-off documents.
Serves as a consulting resource for employees on benefit options and enrollment processes for health, dental, vision, COBRA, FSA, HSA, 401(k), disability and leaves of absence.
Coordinate daily benefits processing, handle new hire enrollments, open enrollment, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROu2019s, distributions, loans, and compliance testing. Research issues and escalate as appropriate.
Determines COBRA eligibility for employees based on qualifying events such as termination, change in employment status, loss of dependent status, divorce, death, etc.
Responsible for the yearly reporting for the ACA audit.
Participate in the design, planning, communication, and administration of employee benefits programs as well as open enrollment planning and execution including event coordination, system updates, testing, communications, audits, and employee follow-ups.
Manage and administer the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) to ensure compliance. Educate employees and supervisors about the process and applicability of all disability plans and FMLA regulations.
Monitor length of leaves and approvals to ensure excellent communication between the company, employee, HR, and supervisor. Ensures written documentation is thorough and handles return to work status, collaborating with business leaders in the management of restrictions and accommodations if necessary.
Facilitates requests for accommodations and maintains compliance with ADA including conducting the interactive processes for each request.
Preserves confidentiality of employee health and benefits information.
Respond to inquiries from management and employees regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Work proficiently with the Microsoft suite, power point and social media and with industry specific software.
Working knowledge of employment laws relating to wage and hour, hiring, recruiting and interviewing.
Bacheloru2019s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field with two (2) years of relevant employee relations HR experience preferred.
