Store Manager, Complex Store, Supercenter - Wm Stores Management

Position Summary:
We are looking for a driven and experienced Store Manager to oversee the operations of our Walmart Supercenter in Randallstown, MD. The ideal candidate should be able to develop and communicate a strategic vision aligned with company goals and lead the management team and associates in facility operations, merchandising, and company direction.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and develop management and hourly associates, especially in a challenging environment, by focusing on recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, performance evaluation, and diversity awareness.
• Uphold the company's Open Door Policy by meeting with associates, resolving concerns, and ensuring consistency in responsiveness and resolution across managerial levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, navigate challenging compliance issues, and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local officials.
• Initiate and participate in community outreach programs, engage with the community and media, and champion company-sponsored programs and events.
• Drive the financial performance of the facility, control expenses, and oversee sales and profit goals.
• Model and enforce proper customer service approaches and techniques for hourly associates and managers.
• Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and proper inventory levels.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years general management experience, including financial accountability and 4 years experience supervising at least 50 non-exempt and at least 5 exempt associates/employees, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination; OR 4 years general management experience, including financial accountability and 4 years experience supervising at least 50 non-exempt and at least 5 exempt associates/employees, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination.

For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.

Effective January 26, 2019 - associates will be required to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Experience as a Store Manager in a low complex store OR 1 year experience as a Store Manager in a medium complex store OR 2 years experience as a Store Manager in a high volume retail store, Running a fresh or dry grocery area.
