Contract overview
This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.
The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:
Market price: $6,000 USDEst.
Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 12 months
Job Description: HVAC Installer
As a HVAC Installer at Grindstone Mechanical, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial properties. We are a trusted source for heating, cooling, and indoor air quality services in Metro Milwaukee, and we are looking for a skilled professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, refrigeration lines, and electrical connections, according to manufacturer's specifications and local codes
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing HVAC systems, and repair or replace defective components as needed
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and replacing air filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting electrical wiring
- Work closely with other members of the team, including project managers and other technicians, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and concerns and addressing issues in a timely and professional manner
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including materials used, time spent, and services provided
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all safety standards and regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or vocational training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including electrical wiring, refrigeration lines, and ductwork
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
