Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement therapeutic activity programs for individuals and groups to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Assess the needs and interests of clients and tailor activities accordingly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
- Lead recreational activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, outings, and exercise programs
- Provide assistance and support to clients during activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment
- Evaluate and document the progress and participation of clients
- Coordinate and communicate with families, staff, and external providers
- Stay updated with current trends and research in activity therapy
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy, activity therapy, or a related field
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) preferred
- Experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
