Job Title: Phlebotomist

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team at Pruitthealth - Valdosta. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare organization by collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures and fingersticks to collect blood samples from patients
• Properly label and document collected specimens for testing
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of collected samples
• Adhere to all safety and infection control procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen collection
• Follow all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy program
• Valid certification in phlebotomy
• Proven experience as a phlebotomist
• Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
