The Commons at Orlando Lutheran Towers is a Skilled Nursing Facility affiliated with Orlando Senior Health Network, a remarkable Continuing Care Retirement Community located in downtown Orlando. We are currently seeking an RN (7am to 7pm) to join our growing healthcare team. Sign-On Bonus & Shift Differential are offered to ALL part-time and full-time applicants.

Job Summary:

The RN (7am to 7pm) is responsible for delivering high-quality resident care while maintaining a positive physical, social, and psychological environment. This includes providing nursing care in accordance with physician's orders and established standards, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring the well-being and safety of residents. The RN also supervises and provides guidance to LPNs and CNAs on the unit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care based on physician's orders, nurse practice act, and established standards
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate resident care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Supervise and teach other personnel
• Evaluate the nursing process on the unit and suggest improvements
• Supervise daily functions of the nursing unit
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and nursing administration
• Administer personal hygienic, preventative, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services
• Admit new residents and review physician orders
• Order medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary
• Arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services as ordered by physician

Requirements:

• Maintain a State of Florida issued license as a Registered Nurse
• Current CPR card
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Physical ability to perform job functions
• Ability to work without posing a direct threat to others

This is a part-time, full-time, and Baylor Shift (hourly) position.
