Housekeeper 6a-2p shift FT at Aperion Care Peoria Heights

Aperion Care Peoria Heights is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Your primary goal will be to maintain our facility in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Responsibilities:

• Follow work and cleaning schedules closely to ensure timely completion of tasks
• Report all accidents and incidents, regardless of severity, to your supervisor
• Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine cleaning assignments in resident living and/or residential areas
• Clean, sanitize, and polish fixtures, ledges, heating/cooling units, and bathroom fixtures
• Sweep, dust, damp/wet mop, strip, wax, buff, and disinfect floors
• Properly dispose of waste/trash and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners
• Ensure confidentiality of residents' health information and report any violations to the Administrator
• Follow established safety precautions and proper techniques when handling cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions
• Use personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious materials and/or hazardous wastes or chemicals
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Follow written and oral instructions regarding the mixing of cleaning compounds
• Work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents based on their maturity level

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday
• Cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet, and push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
