Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and medication management
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring the overall health and well-being of residents
• Support residents in mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a sense of belonging and engagement
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to infection control protocols
• Document resident observations and report any changes in condition or behavior to the appropriate personnel
• Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere, promoting resident dignity and autonomy

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred
• Prior experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy and compassion for the elderly population
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Knowledge of infection control procedures and safety protocols
