Robison Jewish Health Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and organizing patient medical records in a secure and efficient manner.


Responsibilities:

• Collect, compile, and organize patient information and medical records
• Ensure patient records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
• Create and update electronic and paper medical records
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and health regulations
• Retrieve and deliver medical records as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely record management
• Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to medical records
• Assist with audits and quality assurance activities
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in medical record keeping
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and colleagues


Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Proven experience working with medical records, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must adhere to Robison Jewish Health Center's policies and procedures
