Contract overview

This is a placement contract between you and the employer. If the employer hires a candidate you submit, you'll be paid the contract amount.

The payments begin when the candidate starts and are disbursed over time. The contract terms are:

Market price: $2,800 USDEst.

Payment schedule: Paid monthly over 4 months

Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and timely completion of all Medicare/Medicaid case documents to ensure appropriate reimbursement for care and services provided within the facility.
  • Conducting current Minimum Data Set (MDS) reviews to achieve optimal allowable reimbursement under the current Patient Driven Payment Method.
  • Overseeing the process and tracking of MDS/PDPM documentation and submission.
  • Integrating nursing, dietitian, therapeutic recreation, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure accurate assessments and capture all clinical conditions and provided services.
  • Maintaining an accurate schedule of all MDS assessments with proper reference dates throughout the resident's stay.
  • Responsible for electronic submission of all MDS assessments and verifying submission while performing necessary corrections and maintaining records.
  • Assisting disciplines with the care planning process by ensuring timely completion of MDS information, thorough analysis of Care Area Assessments (CAAs), and completion of the MDS prior to care conference.
  • Ensuring all Medicare documentation follows federal and state guidelines and is completed in a timely manner. This includes physician certification/recertification, Traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage non-coverage letters for part A and B.
  • Assessing and evaluating the outcomes of the RAI process to determine additional training, education, and monitoring needs.
  • Actively participating in Clinical Quality Initiatives, including understanding the role of MDS accuracy in Quality Measures, Quality Reporting Program (QRP), and facility 5-Star Rating.
  • Providing survey support during state and/or federal Nursing Facility surveys.


Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • LPN credential would be considered for this position.
  • 1-3 years of experience as an MDS Coordinator or equivalent experience.
