Job Description

Overview:

Vale Healthcare Center, a well-managed Skilled Nursing Facility in San Pablo, is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team. We value our employees and offer competitive pay, benefits, and a $3000 sign-on bonus. All shifts are available.

Responsibilities:

The CNA is responsible for providing essential services and care for residents and patients. Duties include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living (turning and positioning, toileting, bathing and grooming, feeding, and mobility)
• Obtaining and recording vital signs and weight as assigned
• Accurately documenting all care as required by company policy and in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Providing non-resident services such as washing wheelchairs and cleaning resident/patient areas in compliance with infection control procedures
• Contributing to the resident assessment and care plan
• Making routine rounds on each assigned resident and patient in accordance with established procedures
• Promptly communicating any significant changes in behavior or condition to supervisor
• Completing required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations

Qualifications:

The successful candidate should meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, or related experience and/or training
• Successful completion of State-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education that meets state certification requirements

Physical Demands and Environment:

Shift work may be required. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, see, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk, and hear. Employee will occasionally assist in lifting and/or transferring patients weighing between 100 to 250 pounds. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
