Radiation Protection Supervisor (Plant Hatch) JOB SUMMARY: The radiation protection supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and supervises a team of radiation protection technicians responsible for health physics related activities that support the conduct of operations and maintenance activities within radiation controlled areas of the facility. The person in this position will be responsible for providing oversight of the work management processes and the planning and preparation to support radiological work activities. The supervisor implements procedures to meet site and regulatory requirements. The supervisor also supports the emergency response organization by filling a designated position within the on-call rotation. JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in one of the physical sciences or engineering strongly preferred 5 years experience in radiation protection at a nuclear reactor facility. A minimum of two of the five years should be related technical training. A maximum of four years of this five years experience may be fulfilled by related technical or academic Training. Knowledge of plant procedures and regulations Knowledge of plant systems and processes Knowledge of the work management process Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain priorities Effective at building and sustaining working relationships across disciplines Any applicant accepting this position will be required to meet background screening and fitness for duty requirements.
