Generate and print citations for parking violations through smartphones and other handheld technology. Provide information for the UMD Parking Board of Appeals regarding contested parking citations. Report damage or malfunctioning parking meter information as well as parking sign concerns and any other relevant items to the supervisor. Conduct minor field repairs and maintenance as needed. Keep record of habitual violators. Call 9-1-1 and have vehicles towed for offenders who have reached a predetermined violation threshold. Work with traffic control situations providing information to the public regarding parking, building and department locations. Explain parking ordinances to the public. Staff the pay lot booth as needed. Maintain a well kept Transportation & Parking Services (TPS) vehicle. Assist with organization and cleanliness of the TPS garage.
