Dietary Aide/Cook

Duties:

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary restrictions
• Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards
• Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
• Assist with food preparations, do dishes, perform cleaning assignment of kitchen
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Experience:

• Previous experience working as a dietary aide or cook in a culinary setting, preferably in a nursing home, hospital, or similar environment
• Knowledge of food production techniques and meal preparation
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
• Understanding of food safety practices and regulations

Skills:

• Strong culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attention to detail to ensure meals are prepared accurately and meet dietary requirements
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and communicate with residents or patients
