Job Summary :  Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham has partnered with a local government agency. We are hiring an Accounting Technician.  This position is going to be a contract position to start with and could turn into a permanent position.  Responsibilities Include: -Perform various accounting functions -Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports -Check purchase orders -Some account payable/receivable duties -Monitors invoices for compliance with individual contracts -Ensures completion of appropriate documents -Prepares contracts from bids and information obtained from department staff -Assists with developing estimates, including cost research and rate calculations -Submits reimbursement requests for funds for federal and state grants -Ensures billing is accurate and conforms with various laws and requirements Identifies costs -Provides backup receptionist coverage -Provides information, training, and assistance to Department staff -Performs notary public services on County and City documents   This Company Offers: Vacation, Sick Time Medical, Dental, Vision, and Short Term Disability 401K   Pay:  $24.47/hour   Shift: Full Time *  * Location: Bellingham We take walk-in interviews Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM-5:00 PM!
