Rest Haven-York in York, PA is currently hiring for the position of Dietary Aide Full-Time. This is a full-time position with the following schedule: 6am- 2:30pm plus 9:30am - 6pm, as scheduled. It also includes every other weekend and every other holiday.

Essential Functions:

A dietary aide at Rest Haven-York is responsible for performing assigned positions as outlined in department responsibility schedules. They must maintain clean and sanitary work areas, using proper sanitary practices and completing daily cleaning assignments. It is important to ensure that food items and leftovers are stored properly. Cleaning and maintaining equipment and reporting maintenance needs is also a part of the job. Attendance and participation in department meetings and facility inservices is required, along with following department, facility, and regulatory policies, procedures, and standards. Assisting with the training of new staff members and conducting oneself in a professional manner is expected. Additionally, there may be other duties assigned by the supervisor for the proper operation of the facility/department.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates for the position must be able to follow oral and written instructions, cooperate and communicate effectively with others, maintain personal hygiene, and follow the department uniform policy. Adequate health to perform the essential job functions is required. Criminal history background clearance under Act 169 and Act 13 is also necessary.

Working Conditions:

The working conditions at Rest Haven-York include well-lighted and ventilated work areas. Employees must be able to stand and walk during most of the day and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling as required. The work environment may subject employees to cold, heat, and cleaning solutions. Effective communication with others throughout the workday and the ability to adapt to interruptions is essential.
