Community Life Coordinator - Per Diem


Phoebe Ministries, a not-for-profit, multi-facility organization specializing in health care, housing, and rehabilitative services for older adults, is seeking a full-time Community Life Coordinator to join our dedicated recreation team!


Basic Qualifications


Education: Certified Activity Director or Coordinator, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, COTA or Associates degree in related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.


Skills: Proficient reading, writing, grammar and mathematic skills; proficient interpersonal relations, and communicative skills; knowledge of the social, psychological, and recreational needs of the aging; knowledge of current Pennsylvania Department of Health long term care regulations relating to Activity Programming.


Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in related positions normally required.


General Responsibilities


Responsible for programming, as well as implementing diverse resident interests, small and large group programs; responsible for supervising, as well as initiating projects, coordinating work within the department as well as with other units and departments; responding to inquires and requests from residents, staff personnel, etc.


Essential Duties


The Community Life Coordinator will work with the Director, Community Life to organize and implement activity programs. Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other units and departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed. Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area or to requests from residents, staff personnel, etc., within given time frames. Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibit behavior as set forth by the Phoebe Ministries Code of Ethics and Business Integrity in the performance of their duties. Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the position, but may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
