Summary You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE of NAVAL ACADEMY. Salary for the GS-05 position is - $45,146 - $58,686. Salary for the GS-07 position is - $55,924 - $72,703. Responsibilities You will serve as an entry level Human Resource Specialist within the Human Resource Office to support and augment the work of senior Human Resource Specialists. You will serve as one of the primary touchpoints for new hire onboarding and orientation at USNA. You will run reports from various systems to include alpha rosters, training reports, and suspense action reports. You will serve as the front office point-of-contact and provide customer service for all Human Resources programs. You will process length of service awards and other certificates. You will coordinate approval and signatures for personnel actions, input RPAs, and update internal databases and tracking systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-05 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Inputting and compiling data; 2) Assisting in resolving administrative problems; 3) Using computers with office applications; and 4) Responding to general questions regarding human resources matters. For the GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Communicating with people internally and externally in support of Human Resources work; 2) Coordinating efforts with one or more human resources specialists; 3) Using computers with office applications to perform operations or to prepare complex documents ; and 4) Responding to general questions regarding human resources matters. For the GS-07: have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education OR have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement OR have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
