Job Description
We are currently seeking a Food Service Worker/Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide to join our dedicated team at Diversicare Of Tylertown. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our residents receive delicious and nutritious meals.
Your Responsibilities
As a Food Service Worker/Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with food preparation under the guidance of our experienced kitchen staff
- Serving meals and beverages to residents in a timely and courteous manner
- Ensuring that all dietary restrictions and preferences are considered when preparing and serving meals
- Monitoring food temperatures and maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary kitchen environment
- Assisting with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies
- Following all safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and disposal of kitchen waste
- Collaborating with the culinary team to create menu plans that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of our residents
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and their families
Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Prior experience working in a food service or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays, as required
