Laundry Aide

Summary:

Ayden Healthcare of Waterville is seeking a full-time Laundry Aide. The primary purpose of this position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. The Laundry Aide is also responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner and ensuring an adequate supply of linen is available at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

• Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Housekeeping & Laundry Department
• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Must possess the ability to display patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and be willing to handle residents based on their current functioning level
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
• Must be able to complete all other tasks as assigned by the Administrator, Director of Housekeeping & Laundry Services, or designee

Working Conditions:

• Works throughout the nursing service area, including linen rooms, laundry rooms, and resident rooms
• Moves intermittently during working hours
• Is subject to frequent interruptions
