CMT/CNA Job Description
As a Certified Medication Technician (CMT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Pickersgill Retirement Community, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to our residents. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administering medications accurately and in accordance with established protocols
- Monitoring residents' health status and reporting any changes to the nursing staff
- Assisting with meal preparation and serving
- Providing companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to residents
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a valid CMT or CNA certification and a genuine passion for working with seniors. In addition, the following qualifications are desired:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
