Maintenance Technician

This job was posted by https://joblink.maine.gov : For more information, please see: https://joblink.maine.gov/jobs/1129762 Responsibilities:\ Working as a part of a team, responsible for ongoing maintenance of Head Start facilities including HVAC, exterior lighting, snow removal, and general maintenance. Completes on-site inspections and estimates of maintenance and repair; responds to immediate maintenance and repair issues, hiring contractors as needed. Performs on-site inspection of completed jobs to ensure work meets established guidelines and requirements. Maintains complete, well-organized, and accurate program records. Prepares required paperwork for billing and account payable purposes.\ Qualifications:\ High school diploma or equivalent\ Must have 6 months experience in a related position\ Must have a minimum current 10-hour OSHA Safety Certification\ Knowledge of basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and general repair skills\ Ability to operate construction equipment such as MAN or scissor lift\ Ability to operate construction support equipment such as sprayers, drillers, generator, and rented support vehicles\ Demonstrated ability to perform duties with minimal supervision\ Good oral/written communication skills and basic knowledge of computers\ Be able to lift 40 pounds, crawl through small openings, capable of physically bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling and climbing ladders\ Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
