The Blair County District Attorney's Office is seeking an Investigator to support the prosecution of criminal cases. This position involves conducting thorough investigations into various criminal activities, gathering and preserving evidence, interviewing witnesses and victims, and collaborating with law enforcement agencies. Essential duties include preparing detailed reports of findings, testifying in court as needed, and assisting attorneys in trial preparation. The Criminal Investigator will also maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all legal standards and procedures.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three years' experience in law enforcement or criminal investigations is required. Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication abilities. Knowledge of criminal law and investigative techniques is essential, as well as proficiency in utilizing technology for documentation and reporting. Candidates should also have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
This is a short-term assignment, not to exceed the year 2025. The hourly wage is $21.82. The part-time schedule required will be considered to be flexible, with a maximum of 19 hours per workweek.
