Job Description

We are currently seeking a CNA PRN to join our team at St Mark Village in Palm Harbor, Florida. As a CNA PRN, you will assist our professional Nursing Staff by providing personal care and daily living support to our Residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with bathing, dressing, and undressing, serving and collecting food trays, transporting residents, and performing various tasks to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of our Residents.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Residents with personal daily living activities, following therapeutic protocols and providing direct care in a safe manner
• Answer call lights, bells, or intercom system to determine Resident's needs in a timely manner
• Turn and reposition bedfast, Hospice, and wheelchair-bound residents to prevent skin breakdown
• Take and record vital signs, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates
• Assist in escorting Residents to Activity Programs and ensure their attendance to meals
• Observe and report any signs and symptoms of infection or change in physical, cognitive, and skin condition
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information
• Observe and follow safety and infection control policies and procedures
• Attend all mandatory in-services as required

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Florida
• CPR certification
• Sincere desire to care for the elderly
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques in providing personal care
• Ability to work in close cooperation with others
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to assist with evacuation of Residents in the event of an emergency
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks under various conditions
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 35 pounds occasionally
• Good vision and hearing abilities
