Job Description:

As a Dietary Aide at Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious meals and exceptional dining experiences. You will work alongside our experienced dietary team to assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will help create a positive dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities:

Assist with meal preparation and cooking according to dietary requirements and resident preferences.
Ensure food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated.
Serve meals and beverages to residents in a courteous and timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
Assist with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment.
Follow proper sanitation and food safety guidelines.
Collaborate with the dietary team to meet the nutritional needs of residents.
Provide excellent customer service and address any resident concerns or special requests.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a kitchen or food service setting preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and team members.
A strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
