THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will serve as a lead worker responsible for assigning, engaging in, and evaluating both routine and specialized tasks carried out by inmates in the domains of pre-preparation, production, service, and baking. Furthermore, you will maintain effective oversight of inmates by implementing custody and security protocols, while also conducting inspections of all food service areas, equipment, and food to ensure compliance with established safety and sanitation standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hour work week
Work hours are 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM, or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $44,753.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or in a similar large-scale food production operation; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of Basic Training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
