Nurses Aide


The Community at Holy Family Manor is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurses Aide to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. At Holy Family Manor, our mission is to support and nurture families by providing essential services designed to empower them to fulfill their role in church and society. As a Nurses Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing loving care and support to our residents. We are looking for individuals who are attentive, professional, courteous, well-organized, and efficient.


Key Objectives And Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an understanding, model the mission, and values of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth through professional demeanor
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, skincare, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, and incontinence care
  • Provide general nursing care, including vital signs, temperature, blood pressure, height, and weight
  • Answer all calls for resident assistance and assist residents with their needs
  • Document appropriate information in QuickMar
  • Ability to provide basic first aid and CPR in emergencies
  • Report all resident and community concerns to shift supervisor and/or Director of Nursing
  • Confirm that assigned residents are in the dining room for all meals and assist with resident meals
  • Provide hydration and snacks according to policies and procedures
  • Participate in scheduled activities and assist with resident activities
  • Responsible for laundry duties, including washing and drying soiled laundry and putting away clean laundry
  • Empty trash and dispose of soiled incontinent products
  • Communicate as needed with Nurse Manager and CTC for resident care and staff concerns/issues
  • Make rounds on assigned unit to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Perform work assignments and attend mandatory in-service trainings
  • Immediately report any suspected abuse or neglect to nurse manager and Administrator
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Care Team Coordinator, Nurse Manager, or Administrator

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • One to two years' experience as a nurse aide
  • State, Act 33/34 and FBI clearances, if applicable
  • Basic computer, written and verbal communication, and time-management skills
  • Meets all health requirements imposed by law
