Not eligible to work a remote schedule. Regular attendance is required to meet business and customer needs. This position will oversee the pricing, online listing, and marketing of books and media. Coordinate inventory management of media with the Online Sales Manager and media shipping with the Online Shipping Assistant. Develop special online sales and marketing activities to maximize sales and diversion rate. Maintain and build relationships with university departments and vendors to facilitate collaboration and the exchange of items. Supervise students, temporary, and on-call employees. Assist with hiring and oversee the training of Book Dept. employees. Oversee online book listing, including editing and approving online listings prior to online publication. Perform all functions of employees that this position supervises. Actively participate and contribute to Surplus Store Sales Team meetings. Evaluate, list, and market non-media surplus items.This position will engage in high performing, leading edge practices, valuing people, partners and stewardship. Minimum Requirements Knowledge normally acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical, vocational or business school such as an Associates Degree in Business with coursework appropriate to the employing unit; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in sales and marketing strategies related to the employing unit; booking meetings, events and/or similar unit functions; and department operations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform duties of the position. This position requires, or will require prior to the completion of the probationary period: knowledge of basic personal computer terminology and operations, and the ability to use e-mail and the Internet.
