Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is in the finance industry and the successful candidate will have the chance to work in a fast-paced team environment. The primary responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist will include invoice verification, maintaining up-to-date contract records, and communicating with vendors to acquire updated information. Responsibilities: • Implement and optimize invoicing procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency. • Maintain and update contract data using the Smartsheet Data Management program. • Verify invoices and supplemental documentation for correctness before submission. • Submit invoices in Oracle EBS and archive submission data in Application Xtender. • Manage the IT Procurement Email Inbox and distribute Purchase Request Invoices to the relevant IT Procurement Analyst. • Investigate the status of invoices shown as “On Hold”, “Rejected”, or other in Oracle EBS. • Work in collaboration with the IT Finance team to secure appropriate funding sources for invoice submission. • Utilize office software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro for various tasks. • Maintain excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. • Collaborate with members of the Finance Team and respond to internal and external queries. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems • Experience with ADP - Financial Services • Familiarity with Concur software • Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning • Ability to handle Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) • Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles and practices • Experience in Auditing • Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
