Job Description: Food Service Aide - Concordia Village Of Tampa
At Concordia Village Of Tampa, we take pride in providing exceptional care and service to our residents. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our Food Service team as a Food Service Aide. As a Food Service Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, creating a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with meal preparation, including measuring ingredients, chopping fruits and vegetables, and following recipes accurately
- Setting up dining areas, ensuring tables are clean, properly arranged, and ready for service
- Serving meals to residents in a courteous and professional manner, adhering to portion control guidelines and dietary restrictions
- Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed
- Assisting with dishwashing duties, including operating commercial dishwashers and ensuring all dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Supporting the Food Service team with stocking and inventory management, ensuring all supplies are readily available and properly stored
- Striving to provide excellent customer service, responding to resident requests or concerns promptly and with a positive attitude
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, team members, and supervisors
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, including proper handling and storage of food items
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 pounds
