Phelps Health is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Patient Sitters. As a Patient Sitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining a constant presence in the patient's room to ensure their safety and prevent any potential harm.

- Monitoring patients and alerting nursing staff of any changes in their condition.

- Assisting with basic patient needs, such as personal hygiene and mobility.

- Providing emotional support and a calming presence for patients who may be anxious or agitated.

- Documenting observations and any incidents that occur during your shift.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must:

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience towards patients.

- Be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

- Show reliability and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Have a basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
