Our client, a major healthcare company with offices in Fishers, is now hiring Medical Billing Specialists! If you are interested in an administrative healthcare career with room for advancement, a position as a Medical Billing Specialist could be right for you. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you are a vital part of the healthcare system, providing support to medical professionals by completing critical administrative tasks. Medical Billing Specialists are responsible for translating healthcare services rendered into standardized medical billing codes, which are then billed to the client and/or the insurance company. The Medical Billing Specialist must know comprehensive medical terminology, current medical billing and coding procedures, and have working knowledge of medical billing software. If you meet these requirements, and are good with numbers, pay attention to detail, and are a good communicator, this Medical Billing Specialist position might be right for you!
Responsibilities:
- Input patient data into administrative software
- Translate healthcare services rendered into the appropriate medical billing codes
- Send invoices to collect payment from patients and/or insurance companies
- Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance providers
- Process and perform completion of claims to payers
- Communicate directly with patients to discuss payment options and create payment plans
- Record outstanding claims and resolve denial instances
- Conduct audits and Medicare reviews as needed
- Perform duties in a calm and professional manner
