Job Overview
Bay Breeze Health and Rehabilitation Center, located in Venice, FL, is seeking a Business Office Manager with SNF Experience. A Sign-On Bonus of $5000 is available! As the Business Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing the business office department for our skilled nursing facility. You will oversee all functions of the business office, including billing, collections, resident trust, payroll, and accounts payable.
Job Functions
As the Business Office Manager, you will have administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for carrying out your assigned duties. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating all aspects of the business office, including supervision of billing, collections, resident trust accounting, payroll, and accounts payable
- Supervising, hiring, and training the business office staff
- Coordinating and directing the day-to-day responsibilities of the business office staff
- Ensuring the business office functions are adequately staffed to minimize gaps in coverage
- Managing the resident trust accounting system, including the security of patient funds
- Overseeing the patient billing system to ensure accuracy of patient account billing information
- Responsible for patient-related accounts receivable balances, including billing and collections
- Managing front-end and back-end collections of balances due from residents
- Coordinating responses to various audit requests
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of charges, adjustments, refunds, payment posting, and write-offs
- Providing additional billing information to the Central Billing Office to clear claim edits and rejections
- Supervising, managing, and developing personnel
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office setting with specific billing/collecting and patient trust accounting experience
- Prior supervisor experience in a business office setting preferred
- Experience with Point Click Care (PCC) billing system and National Data Care Resident Funds Management System (RFMS) preferred
- Proficiency in using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
As the Business Office Manager, you will work in both office areas and throughout the facility. You may be subject to frequent interruptions and will interact with residents, personnel, visitors, and government agencies under all conditions and circumstances. You may also be subject to working beyond normal working hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Additionally, you may be involved in handling hazardous chemicals.
Estimated Salary
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $20 and $28 per hour, based on qualifications.
