Messiah Lifeways at Messiah Village is a continuing care retirement community located in Mechanicsburg, PA that provides a network of services for adults 55 and better living in South Central PA

We are looking for people with a heart for serving others to join our team as a Dietary Aide / Wait Staff / Server. This position involves serving food to our residents in the kitchenettes in our Personal Care and Skilled Nursing areas. A Dietary Aide will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary conditions in the cooking and dining premises. A Dietary Aide must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide service for an excellent guest experience with great food and customer focus.

Available shift opportunities include:

Part-Time - 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Weekends Only Shifts are Also Available!

Responsibilities

Set up tables in the dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
Serve meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or supervisor
Serve meals and deliver room trays at designated times
Clean dining areas and collect plates, glasses, etc. at the end of the meal period
Discard leftovers and take out the trash
Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels, and silverware
Stock snacks and monitor inventory for supplies needed in-between meal service periods

Skills

Proven experience as a dietary aide or server but we are willing to train qualified candidates
Experience in customer service is appreciated
Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
Friendly with good communication skills
Submit to background and drug screens
