Job Description Summary:
The Research Assistant (RA) is an entry level position supporting a
research team focused on enhancing healthcare delivery for cancer
survivors in rural primary care settings. The RA will work
collaboratively with the Research Project Manager in all aspects of the
research project.

Job Duties Outlined:
Adhere to the aims and objectives of the research protocol and
project timeline.
Maintain accurate documentation of research activities.
Collect, organize, and manage research data in accordance with data
security practices and procedures.
Assist with coordinating meetings, recruitment activities, and
quality improvement initiatives.
Conduct literature reviews and assist in the preparation of
manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.
Contribute actively to team meetings.
Prepare and provide project status reports.
Adhere to applicable federal and state research compliance
requirements, KUMC policies, and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications
Education
: High school diploma or GED equivalency / Associate\'s
degree. A combination of education and relevant work experience may
substitute for a degree on a year for year basis.
Work Experience
:
Basic proficiency in computer skills; experience with MS Office
Suite
Strong oral and written communication as evidenced by application
materials and interview.
Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks and
priorities effectively.
Flexibility and willingness to travel to rural primary care
practices as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
: Bachelor\'s degree in scientific or healthcare related
field.
Work Experience
: Relevant clinical or research experience.
Skills
:
Familiar with medical terminology.
Experience with REDCap.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation
program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of
factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but
not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications
relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the
University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the
starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range,
taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
