Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated Education & Infection Control Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the education and infection control programs within our community. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the health and safety of our residents and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive education programs for all staff members, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care to our residents.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars on various topics related to healthcare, infection control, and resident safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in infection control and prevention.
  • Create and distribute educational materials and resources to support ongoing staff development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance infection control practices.
  • Monitor and assess infection control practices throughout the community, conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Investigate and respond to any reports or incidents related to infection control, taking appropriate actions to prevent further spread.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, analyzing data and implementing interventions to reduce infection rates and improve resident outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Valid state RN license and infection control certification.
  • Prior experience in education or infection control preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, infection control principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate staff members.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office applications and electronic medical records.
