Director of Education (Director of Staff Development)

Palm Garden Of Orlando is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Education to join our team. As the Director of Education, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive education and training program for our staff. Your role will be vital in ensuring that our staff members receive the necessary knowledge and skills to provide exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement an effective education and training curriculum for all staff members, tailored to their specific needs and roles.
- Coordinate and conduct training sessions, workshops, and seminars for both new and existing employees.
- Assess staff training needs, identify knowledge gaps, and develop training materials to address those gaps.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure that the education and training program aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the education and training program through assessments, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in education and training, incorporating them into the program as needed.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff members to enhance their professional development and job performance.
- Oversee the documentation and tracking of staff training records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Nursing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering educational programs, preferably in a healthcare or senior care setting.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate staff members.
- Ability to assess training needs, develop training materials, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in senior care education and training.
