Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
Jerseyville Gas, a prominent provider of heating, cooling, and plumbing services in Jerseyville, Illinois, is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As one of our valued technicians, you will inspect, repair, and install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.
As the HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Installing and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heaters, furnaces, and boilers
- Conducting routine maintenance and cleaning of HVAC systems
- Responding to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
- Providing exceptional customer service, including answering customer questions and ensuring complete satisfaction with service provided
- Maintaining accurate and complete records of all work performed and parts used
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and requirements
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- At least 2 years of experience as an HVAC service technician, with a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and components
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
