Rehab At Shannondell is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting with the planning and implementation of various engaging activities and programs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and organizing a wide range of activities, including games, crafts, exercise programs, and community outings.
• Engage with residents and encourage their participation in activities.
• Provide one-on-one assistance to residents who require additional support.
• Ensure that activities are executed safely and in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident participation and feedback.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director and other team members to develop new and exciting programs.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to connect and engage with residents from diverse backgrounds.
• Creativity and a passion for developing and implementing innovative activities.
• Understanding of the physical and cognitive capabilities of older adults.
• Ability to work well within a team and collaborate effectively.
