Job Description: The Application Support Analyst, as an integral member of Technology Services for Regional Higher Education ( RHE ) at Ohio University, provides administrative and instructional software support for regional campus students, faculty, and staff. This position coordinates the Ohio University Learning Network (video conferencing) for the campus. The Application Support Analyst creates, coordinates, and conducts training for groups and individuals. This position will be tasked to support the five campuses of Regional Higher Education with emphasis on Chillicothe, Lancaster, and Zanesville and off-campus sites (centers and schools). Primary responsibilities include: Provide general software/hardware support as needed. This may include classroom technology, PC/Mac support, and computer lab operations. Assist faculty and staff to learn best practices for software that may include Blackboard, Canvas, Panopto, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Qualtrics, VoiceThread, Top Hat, and other university supported software and technology. Continue to learn new tools and academic technologies. Provide training to faculty and staff in workshops and one-on-one sessions. Adhere to the Office of Information and Technology policies and procedures. Coordinate the video conferencing classrooms referred to as the Ohio University Learning Network ( OULN ). Train and schedule student employees in support of OULN classes. Guide faculty in best practices in instruction on video conferencing systems. Ensure class materials are distributed locally and to other regional campuses. Provide technical support and coordinate with local tech and Manager of Application Support and Academic Technology for higher level technical support. Establish help desk procedures and supervise student employees. Coordinates and supports internal and external customers for campus events. Works with customers to resolve system issues, provide advanced operational support, and/or map business processes in order to create technical solutions. Works with end users to assess system and training needs for applications and packages supported. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field. At least three (3) years work-related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
