Job Description
The Program Coordinator assists with the coordination of the Department of Psychology’s MA in Psychological Research ( MAPR ) graduate program. Staff in this position work closely with the Director of the MAPR program, as well as the Chair of the Department of Psychology.
Job Duties
The Program Coordinator assists MAPR students from application to graduation. These duties include explaining admissions and registration policies, coordinating application processing, facilitating graduate assistantship assignments, submitting tuition waivers, assisting with the program’s assessment reporting processes, helping with special events, coordinating student travel, corresponding with current and prospective students, and effectively engaging MAPR alumni. The Program Specialist also maintains and monitors faculty textbook orders and regularly collects and files faculty syllabi and vitas. The Program Coordinator performs other duties as assigned, including processing overrides for undergraduates, making room reservations, assisting with the departmental course scheduling processes, answering departmental phones and email accounts, screening or transferring calls, taking messages, and referring people to other offices as appropriate.
