Want to work for a Utah Top Work Place award winning company? First Electronic Bank is looking for a Staff Auditor to join our incredible team as we continue to grow. Working with our Head of Internal Audit, the Staff Auditor prepares or contributes to the execution and completion of internal assurance and/or consulting engagements, performs audit issue validation to ensure audit issues are sufficiently addressed by management and other duties as assigned.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, create and prepare audit work plans (including risk assessment) under the leadership and direction of the Head of Internal Audit.
Interact with various levels of management and staff to assess and determine the sufficiency of controls and processes for addressing policy, regulatory or legal requirements.
Perform transactional testing and evaluation of segments of financial, operational and compliance audits.
For the processes audited, review and evaluate the system of management controls to assess their adequacy and effectiveness and, where appropriate, draft potential recommendations for improvements.
Prepare detailed documentation “work papers” evidencing the audit work performed.
Prepare documentation of the process evaluated and preparation of audit findings memorandums.
Draft reports based on the results of audit testing conducted to be presented to heads of areas audited, ensuring complete and accurate results are reflected.
Assist the Head of Internal Audit with tracking internal and external audit issues and recommendations for timely submission and completion.
Perform internal and external audit issue validation to ensure audit issues are addressed accurately and timely and are supported with appropriate documentation.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of three years of experience in auditing, banking or legal related field; previous audit experience in the banking or financial services industry is a plus
Bachelor’s degree from and accredited college or university in Finance, Accounting or Business Management is preferred; understanding of risk management and credit risk/underwriting a plus.
Basic understanding of laws and regulations governing financial institutions, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP, Privacy, Regulation CC, Information Security, Bank Protection Act, FACTA-Identity Theft, Information Technology and GLBA is highly preferred.
Ability to work independently; commitment to continuous learning and willingness to keep.up to date on new developments in the audit field.
Strong interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of standard MS-office products
Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and to communicate effectively orally.
Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently, able to redirect priorities based upon current workload, able to react to current situations.

This position is located in our Salt Lake City corporate office and will follow a hybrid work model.
