Job Description: HVAC Service Technician
B.G. Brecke Inc. is a leading provider of HVAC services in Cedar Rapids Iowa, and we are currently looking for a talented and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems for both commercial and residential customers.
What You Will Do:
• Install, diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in accordance with company standards and best practices.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Install and repair electrical and electronic components of HVAC systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and other issues with HVAC systems.
• Respond to emergency HVAC calls to provide timely and efficient service.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure a positive customer experience and timely completion of jobs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to all safety regulations and standards.

What You Bring:
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in HVAC preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components, including heating, cooling, refrigeration, ventilation, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
