Registered Dietitian - Nhc Healthcare, Ft Sanders
Nhc Healthcare, Ft Sanders is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our team. As a Registered Dietitian at Nhc Healthcare, Ft Sanders, you will play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive proper nutrition and dietary support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' nutritional needs, diet restrictions, and current health conditions to develop and implement individualized meal plans
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of meal plans, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive nutritional care
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on nutrition, diet, and lifestyle choices to promote optimal health
- Document and maintain accurate and detailed records of patients' nutritional assessments, progress, and goals
- Stay updated on the latest research, guidelines, and practices in the field of nutrition to ensure evidence-based care
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) certification
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or related field
- Current state licensure as a dietitian
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition principles, dietary restrictions, and therapeutic diets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient in documenting patient records and maintaining confidentiality
