Job Overview

We are currently seeking an Activity Director to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating recreational activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. The Activity Director plays a crucial role in supporting our residents' social and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as an Activity Director will include, but are not limited to:

- Developing and implementing a comprehensive activity program that caters to the physical, mental, and emotional needs of our residents.

- Planning and organizing a variety of activities and events, such as games, crafts, parties, and outings.

- Encouraging resident participation in activities and events, and promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.

- Assessing individual resident preferences and needs to tailor activities to their interests and abilities.

- Collaborating with staff, volunteers, and families to ensure engaging and enjoyable programming.

- Maintaining accurate records of activities and resident participation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).

- Previous experience working in a similar capacity, preferably in a long-term care or senior community setting.

- A strong passion for working with older adults and a genuine desire to improve their quality of life.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to plan and organize events, manage time effectively, and multitask.

- Proficiency in using computers and software for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
